I did have an idea for a POTC/Doctor Who story that was included in a series I'm writing. The series has Jack (of course), the Doctor, an original companion, and Rose. The story was called Mistaken Identity and involved the original character getting separated from the Doctor, Jack, and Rose in the past at the height of the Age of Piracy. The town she ends up in gets ransacked, and she tries desperately to find the other three. While looking, she asks around if anyone has seen a Captain Jack in the area. A little girl whose parents own a pub refers her to a man who is still in the town. He turns out to be Captain Jack SPARROW, not Harkness. On Jack's side of things, he's been made pirate captain of a ship that's sailing in the middle of the sea, solely because all those onboard are under the impression that he's Jack Sparrow. The Doctor and Rose are forced to go along with it. Many crazy things happen along the way, leading to their reunion and the meeting of the two Captain Jacks.

Sadly, I decided to revamp the story entirely and gave it a whole new plot that has nothing to do with my previous story. If anyone is still interested, I can post it here under another title. I just wanted to let everyone know that someone was paying attention! :-)
